Description

Hello to you all I hope that you had as good a weekend as I did! Todays capture is something of an experimental work and was produced with no postwork except for cropping and framing. The subject (a small figure I used for one of my earlier captures "The Burning Heart") was set in frame and during the 20 second exposure I slowly moved a green luminescent tube (toy shops have the most useful stuff in) behind it. I have had some doubts about posting this capture but I've had such a good weekend I thought why not! Worst that can happen is that none of you will comment on it and that in itself would be useful information. Many thanks to all of you who viewed and/or commented on my last post.

I take it that this is a self portrait? What a great idea. It certainly turned out well. I have many miniature octupii and lobsters with moveable parts should you need props.

Strong silhouette against an interesting background. As a collectible toy dealer for the past 19 years I have certainly taken my fair share of toy photos, both creative for me and straight for sales purposes, and can appreciate a good toy photo. Experimental and cool!

I would be shocked if you would not get any coment on this job. It is a cool picture. Like a hero posing and ready to take action what ever comes on its way. The green lines as a background realy adds to this picture.

Well, the worst I can say about it is that I can barely make out the figure involved in this experimental effort. Other than that, it looks good, nice silhouetting, and is admittedly highly provocative in its approach.
