It's the light and shadows that makes it so interesting to me. The light really brings out the texture and the shadows gives it mystery.

This is really excellent in color, detail and texture. I relish the contrast of dark and light effects in wood or tree trunk photos. I'll try to post some of my own sometime in the future.
