Description

What an excellent little program Terragen is. I love the way it does near photorealism with the water and the sky. Now I have another rendering package to learn. Where does all the time go?

Terragen is both powerful and versatile. i've never personally bent it to my will, and TG2 is even more complicated, but both reward expertise with incredible photorealism. there's even, iirc, a script so that you can render a full panorama for conversion into an ibl source.

"Creating a world in 30 minutes..." Yeah, that's obvious ;-) But it's a nice start! You grasped the concept of multiple surface layers, now it's time to grasp the concept of height distribution of those layers to make it more realistic. You could restrict the green layer(s) to a low slope for instance... Welcome to the wondrous world of Terragen!
