Description

Ross and West Virginia wearing razzle dazzle paint schemes. In attempt to make it more difficult for the stereoscopic fire control systems of the period, ships were painted with contrasting shapes and lines. The hope was that it would make it harder for the fire control officer to line up the two images in his sight. The results were inconclusive and the practice was eventually given up and replaced with gray paint, with some of the largest vessels being the exception. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. The water is amazing on this one.. rough and unwelcome and with an intense sense of movement! Oh..I didn't know that about ships either so this image was educational too! Great work! :)

Huh. It looked like the textures were miscombobulated and messed up at first, until I read the description. Altogether a good composition with some excellent facts. You must do a lot of research or somethin'.
