Description
Lt. Cmdr. Robert Kirk stepped onto the mooring post and was pleased to see the re-construction progress. The last time he had seen Pearl Harbor the place was engulfed in the black smoke of hundreds of oil fires.
The Enterprise is Admiral William F. “Bull” Halsey’s flagship and he was in a strategy session with heads of the Pacific Ocean Areas Command, led by Admiral Chester Nimitz.
