My name? Eric den Biesen, a Canadian of Dutch ancestry. I'm 46 years young, though I sometimes feel MUCH older. I generally like to model in trueSpace, though I'm learning Carrara and Hexagon as well. Not much free time for it, so anything I'm building progresses REAL slowly. :( I like to illustrate my tales of the Imperium with Poser and/or Bryce, or that story's prequel, Siren's Song, the story of the Human/Mer first Contact. Neither story is more than outline, and bits are told through the pics I do. And because it's fun, of course. :)

Hmmmm--Dry looking windows grabbed my eye-balls right off. Doing toon shaded is more forgiving with trans textures on glass. Find out the orientation of the glass by using the Mat room to put a fine bar tex on it, then you can line up a streaky tex to mimic wet windows. If you're feeling REALLY frisky, you could do a Specular of same kind on your ship tex! Otherwise--Kick-ass! Good placement, set-up and posing. Good over-all scene direction! A couple of tweaks--and you will RULE!! ^__^ V,,

I like the rain effect. The whole image is very "Heavy Metal" like. I agree with the previous comments on the windows. As it is, the windows are not only too transparent, they give the impression that there is nothing in that ship. You might consider putting some props in there. It's a lovely model, I have it myself. It's unfortunate that it's a little too narrow to easily contain the control chair made by the same artist. I've been (very slowly) putting together an interior for this ship. (OK, since I only work on it when I'm stuck for ideas, and have time, I've got like, maybe, two props attached).
