no idea as to the name of this flower, but I thought it's design is very unique thanks for viewing and any comments

You're right with snapdragon. It's "proper" or genus name is Antirrhinum which is of the family of Scrophulariaceae. I think it is of the Monarch variety but I could be wrong with that bit. Beautiful flower! An excellent capture!
