I've taken about six photos of snapdragons in the past and none of them look as colorful, sharply detailed and well textured as this shot. This looks like yellow popcorn on a stem.

Yup .. snapdragon it is, you had the title right, no idea what the botanical name is though. A wonderful shot! I had some in my yard a few years back, and they are STILL popping up here and there, they seem to seed themselves!

Yep, snapdragon it is, Richard...and what a shot of it! I've always been fascinated by how they bloom by opening, unfolding, from the bottom up :)

A lovely shot of a beautiful flower. I used to grow lots of these but then they got rust so haven't tried them for a few years to get rid of it. I think the new varieties don't get the rust. They make such a good show in the garden.

Do you see how we learn from each other here lol Yes it is a snapdragon richard and it's very lovely the time I saw any of these is when I was at a timeshare in SF last year: awesome flower indeed tks for sharing: rushing a bit here as hubby needs watching for a few days: PS/brief message here: I may be missing my comments for a bit as hubby had thyroid surgery all of it was removed I need to keep an eye on him he has a lot of pain, and he have to sit up cannot lay flat for two days,as he could choke: the cut is across the beginning of the neck in front not too cool looking for sure: Just a brief report here: It was a long LONG! day at the hospital love your uploads:hugs ))
