Description

Many thanks to people like mark.spooner and vulcanccit for posting amazing photographs that inspire me to look at the world in a different way! I came across this rope one evening in May when I was wandering the Edmonds waterfront and marina with my friend Einzie1.

Kinda looks like the microscopic view of an ultra long fuse of a firecracker, or some other explosive device. How's that for seeing things differently? Wonderful POV, clarity, textures and light/shadow effects in this shot, young lady! But what were you doing wandering a dank and foggy waterfront where unpleasant things ofter occur?

I really like this, showing, as it does, the fragility of a single wisp of thread, and the awesome strength of so many, when 'roped' together just so! The shading is lovely, and the stain (?) in the upper part, perhaps oil, tells of use...really nice. One of the reason I enjoy your photos so much, is because they all tell their own stories..............
