Description

Green fly … Once more, I’m not able to identify this diptera among all the many different species… Probably a Blow-fly (Calliphoridae)… This upload is my late further contribution to the Forum thread : “ Definate Conclusion” ! Although I am the owner of a Nikkor AF-S VR 105mm f/2.8 macrolens for my D70 camera, this picture has been taken using the digital macro function of my cheap small Canon IXUS camera… Isn’t the sharpness amazing ? compare with :

Beautifully done, Michel. I love how the colors in the fly are complimented by the yellow center of the flower and the background green. Excellent one and happy belated birthday, mon amie. -M :^)

lovely clarity and detail right down to the hairs on its back. Seems its had better days but the state of its wings. good, solid shot.
