Description

Red, with its connotations of blood and violence, looks more chaotic. However, an exploding universe would be overrunning with new stars: hot white and blue. If this is raw energy, why does it appear so peaceful? Thanks again to Hubble and NASA for giving us eyes into deep space. For this variation, I went back to my altered nebulae, applied radial blur and recut the pieces. Comments comparing them are welcome! Quilters might recognize the "blazing star" pattern. Leaded glass has many of the same constraints as piecework. If you really like this image, I've put it on totebags and t-shirts and ceramic tiles: http://www.cafepress.com/hauksdottir/4066360
