Description
This is one of the last shots I took as I set my hand on fire. Of couse my hand was not burning here
I feel the fire as my hand burn but it was not hurt. The burning feeling was gone in three hours. I remember my brothers and I played around with rubbing alcohol when I was a child but I was young then and now I forgot what we did to it. I know we was not hurt. I know I did a dumb thing here and think every one who was concern about it. I think my brothers had a cream that they put on they skin so they would not be burn, I was too small and they would not let me do it but just watch. They would just hold it in the palm of they hands if I remember right. It was so long ago.
Here you see the candle that I used to light the alcohol on my hand and then I had to move fast to tought the lamp and take a photo at the same time.
I just pour the alcohol down on the glass that I put on top of a black carpit t part of the alcohol I let hit the candle to set it on fire. I took the photo then I noted the alcohol ran off the glass and on the carpit so I put it out and to make sure the carpit was out and would not burn nother I thow it outside.
I know some say we can not see the alcohol burn or it hart to see to good but I think with the 80 watts UV Lighting it shows better.

some of the flame did not show at this pov. If I had the camera at amother pov it would show more flame.

neet image jock!!! playing with fire can be dangerous. putting a drop or two of flammable liquids on a hand or finger and lights will not burn you if you keep hand moveing very fast and its not more then a drop or two. wetting hand in water first helps. but too much fire will still burn you!!!!

the little green and red is neon paint that I used and my hand must have tought the candle holder and got on it. My tripod and camera is full of paint too now. lol

In the three movies based on the THE X-MEN comics, there are mutants that can ignite themselves and shoot flames from out of their hands onto their enemies. Even though all I can make out with certainty is a black glass and candle in your photo, the colors and effects are great. I was going to say a "cool" shot, but I don't believe that would be appropriate here.

A magnificent capture in every way, Jock. I love your experiments. I am so sorry your tripod and camera are full of paint :-( I will tell you a story. At Christmas I make a pudding, so beautiful.. full of fruits, nuts and all good things. I think you would like to eat it. When I serve the pudding I warm alcohol on a spoon over a flame and light it. I then pour the burning alcohol over the pudding.. It looks great ;-) I turn the lights out and carry the burning pudding to the table. We eat it with good cream. The English are a strange race, setting puddings on fire!! I never got a shot of it yet!!!! Hugs. Di.
