Description

This is one of the last shots I took as I set my hand on fire. Of couse my hand was not burning here I feel the fire as my hand burn but it was not hurt. The burning feeling was gone in three hours. I remember my brothers and I played around with rubbing alcohol when I was a child but I was young then and now I forgot what we did to it. I know we was not hurt. I know I did a dumb thing here and think every one who was concern about it. I think my brothers had a cream that they put on they skin so they would not be burn, I was too small and they would not let me do it but just watch. They would just hold it in the palm of they hands if I remember right. It was so long ago. Here you see the candle that I used to light the alcohol on my hand and then I had to move fast to tought the lamp and take a photo at the same time. I just pour the alcohol down on the glass that I put on top of a black carpit t part of the alcohol I let hit the candle to set it on fire. I took the photo then I noted the alcohol ran off the glass and on the carpit so I put it out and to make sure the carpit was out and would not burn nother I thow it outside. I know some say we can not see the alcohol burn or it hart to see to good but I think with the 80 watts UV Lighting it shows better. thanks for every thing

The color of the flame goes well with the ultraviolet here. Cool, ok not cool, but beautiful shot!

Looks really cool Jock. There are many creams that you can use not to burn. But you have to make sure they dont have alcohol in them LOL

Wow! Awesome capture! It does look like the candle is a car traveling on a road, as "jif3d" said! I love the way flame looks!

Great shot. When I used to make wood fired pots people said I would fire an empty kiln because I liked the process so much. Artists have to play with fire.
