Description

I was taking some pictures of this dragon fly.. I didn't know what species it was btw, but I know it now.. and suddenly the dragon fly decided to have a closer look at me. It landed on my leg....In case you are interested...it didn't bite, it didn't ...... well.. nothing happened, it just sat there. The species is a black tailed skimmer.

Try as I might, I've never been able to get them to pose for me. Very unusual seeing a yellow one!

Tremendously good macro! The leg is well defined... nice spacing of hairs and all... :-) The dragonfly is well defined and I like the pov. Good work.

Very nice close-up of this beautiful Dragonfly. We do not have this species in North America (mores' the pity). I have had dozens of these flying wonders on my fingers , hands, arms, hands, legs, and head, lol. Not a single one of them ever even tried to get a taste of me. Chances are that the Dragon did not even see you as a living creature, but more like a stationary object. The full size view shows the details of this critter with excellent clarity.
