I am no longer active here. Too many restrictions and unpleasant interactions with admin.
In addition I now focus on traditional art, which is very neglected on this site.

About my Art - Watercolor, Poser &Vue I have been painting mainly with transparent watercolor on paper. Most of my paintings depict hypothetical situations and imaginary scenes, striving to capture ideas and moods rather then a resemblance to specific places or people. On many occasions more than one way forward suggest themselves either from the onset or during the painting process. I like to explore these possibilities in different paintings and thus I have several ongoing themes (Some examples of themes I worked on are shown in the image above). I started useing Poser and then Vue mainly to set up virtual models and/or scenes which are then painted in watercolor. The CG images were supposed to be only an intermediate stage, but I now got the CG bug, and I'm trying to make these images a 'product ' on their own accord. Feedback is really very important to me. I appreciate any form of it: comments on the impact the images had on you (or saying it had none), things you enjoyed, things you hated, any artistic aspects - (composition, color, lights & shadows etc.) - any technical comments( eg Poser/Vue issues) and anything else you find relevant. If you dont know a lot (or at all) about Watercolors, Poser or Vue, please dont let it deter you from leaving a comment. Just comment on what you see and what it made you feel or think. You could also ask questions, and if I know how to answer - I will.

I don´t want to say something "critical" as I really enjoy to see this image and the wonderful idea behind this image!!

Very good idea, very well executed. Very interesting detail, that pin that didn't resist the stress from the strings. It shows very well the conflict of forces between showing and hiding the inside. Two pins resisted, one collapsed but even so the inside was displayed. Interesting... The simple aspect of the outside of the cloth contrasts with the more complex pattern of the inside, and that is a very good analogy with "real life". Very well done as well that the walls suggest outdoors and the ground suggests indoors. With very few elements, you touched a lot of ideas and successfully depicted a complex theme.

Transcendental metaphor of life wisely translated to the language of arts. There are few visual resources, nevertheless, one can recreate with the infinite range of interpretations that the image suggests. Perhaps, by my bonds with the theater, I can also imagine that there is a character, hidden behind curtains, who is afraid to leave to scene or to face a public, that is, to face the world. And that´s just one of the thousands meanings that can be found in this singular image.

Once again, an extraordinary work of art. The work with the cloth is incredible. From a technical point of view, I think that the pin on the right should probably bring the fabric down lower. From a purely esthetic point of view, I think that the portrait could stand to be slighly lighter, or perhaps the floor a little less purple. (The purple in the floor matches the purple tones in the portrait a little too well.) I think that the artificiality of the space and the realism of the cloth really helps bring this image to life. Bravo!

Looks like an inside wanting to peek... or perhaps push out

I love Peter Gabriel! Mercy street is a good song to apply to this piece, I think. The colors on the inside around the self-portrait, and the spikes pointing inward speak volumes! The colors of spirituality (purple) contrast with the earthyness of orange showing the conflict between what we feel and what we think? I am jealous of your masterful cloth-room skills! Very good! ^__^ V,,

Though very simple in nature this image says so very much. It is like a complete book waiting to be read. Amazing work and yes, I would be interested in a tutorial on the cloth. I am trying to figure out how to do material and well, not doing so well lol. Thank you for sharing this amazing piece. Lovely work!
