Description

HELLO EVERYONE it was a pleasure hangin out with Richard & Vera yesterday taking photos of boats & castles. And this as u can see is an example of some of the wonderful places in essex Richard took us to. i know i didn't do this image any justice like many other pros out here would, but we all have to start somewhere. hope u like it. Thank u very much richard for finding the time to take us out. I would very much like us to do it again. pls both critical & non-critical comments are welcome ps, if u all want to see what Richard looks like, then check the forum.

Very nicely done. I like this very much. The path leads the eye right in and Richard and Vera give a sense of scale to the castle. The green nettles and dried grasses with the details in the diagonal of the sky give great colours. An excellent POV and Composition. I think you can be proud of this!

I find a whiteness of the sky a bit to hars, other than that is a killer shot. Love the compo and a brightness of the green grass towards to your awaiting friends up there.

Well I don't think you do yourself justice by not thinking this is 100% brilliant. It is a lovely image Akpe and I agree with everything Pat has said in the first comment.

I agree about the starkness about the sky but you know what the composition is FLAWLESS!!! I'm actually really jealous coz I didn't see this POV and apart from the 'sunset' shot I didn't really like anything I took at the castle. I think the boats definetly took over my mind, LOL. I think your green and yellow tone is very suited to the light and feel of this heritage site. There is room for improvement however for you being scared of landscape, you are alot better than a lot of people's shots that I've seen, on Rendo and other sites. @ newleaf - that isn't Richard and I standing up top, we were all down below and in this shot behind Apke. There were a few people having picnics and viewing the ruins.

Great shot, and on one of the few days of decent weather we've had so far this year, well done! Personally, I'm not a fan of long-distance people, had it been me, I'd probably have Photoshopped them out. With the other comments tho, love the colours you've captured, the lines work really well... Overall, a beautiful picture.

I think it's perfect - I love the colors and the way the path leads to the castle. I think the sky looks just fine - a polarizer may have helped darken it a bit more and make the grass a tad bit greener but really I think it's wonderful just the way it is!
