Very nice render and model. Those truly were remarkable planes. The stories of damaged planes that somehow made it back are truly amazing.

The Mitchell was indeed a hard worker, but if you definitly wanted to get back home alive you wanted to be in a B-17

fourteen forward pointing .50 cals made it one exellent attack aircraft not to mention its great bombing record and rivet popping 75 MM cannon modification

nice render, a liitle bit of exhaust fumes and it would have been photoreal. really good work.

Thanks for the link Garlor, much appreciated. Must confess I would never have thought they could have got 15 Mitchells together in one place, ever! That is something I would have given my eye teeth to see. Wow!. Take B24's for example - thousands built, only one flying. Regards, Warren.

Hi Warren! Thanks for your comment and advice. Will take it on board, as usual! See you are still going strong with your images. A great aviation creation from you and I particularly like the colours in the sky. So realistic!! See ya. Take care. Eileen xx

A simple, yet very elegant rendering of a famous USAAF medium bomber. A nicely balanced image in colours and composition. Somehow the colours of the sky and the sea makes me think of the Med at sunset. Maybe a flight returning to base after a succesful raid against Axis shipping, eh ? To fully utilize the possibilities of this impressive image, I personally would check the reflective properties of fuselage & window materials and perhaps place a light source or two between the foremost aircraft and camera (very subtle ones). Prop blur could be done in postwork. All in all, a good rendering indeed.
