BIO
My real name is Lars, and I live in Denmark. All my life I've been drawing and making pictures, occationally as a "professional" but always with an amateur ("for the love of it") approach.Being a proficient airbrush artist, the jump to computer graphics (Photoshop, Painter) wasn't all that hard for me, it was just a question of understanding how to employ the techniques to this new medium.
In july -02 I dug into the world of 3D rendering for the first time, in Bryce 5. A truly fascinating experience! My computer has been rendering ever since ;o)At the beginning I thought I'd be making lots of sci-fi stuff, but something happened right back from the early Bryce days: I started to look at trees and nature, the sky etc. in a new manner, or more intensely at least. I've always been a big fan of beautiful landscapes, and instead of sci-fi, I began a "quest" for 3D landscaping and beliveable environments.
Over the years, the 3D rendering has more or less taken over my creative endeavours. Vue became my application of choice from the start of 2003, with Poser, XFrog and Onyxtree as auxilliary programs. Plus a whole arsenal of new and ancient freeware, to be mentioned are Bantam3D Grass and Plantstudio.

I would like this scene a lot better if there weren't people in it, but thats just me LOL I tend to not very often like the humans in nice Vue scenes, they take away from the scene most of the time, as the focus is usually on the people, which don't usually look that real, or more accurately, not posed too realistically. Am I the only person in these Galleries who doesn't just give praise all the time? LOL I feel good crits (that aren't mean) are as good as praise is :) Which, your Vue aspect of the scene is like usual, really great. You have lighting down patt! Same with vegitation and placement with your Ecos. So, 5 stars for the Vue scene and -2 for the humans. .........md :)

Wow, superb light here. And superb realism too. Brilliant work again, reminds a little at a classical Gebe image.

beautiful composition... the lighting is great as far as the angle and quality... still something feels wrong overall... perhaps the whole image is a bit dark overall.. or just the shadows. on the other hand, v nice plants and veg placement and a fine painting effect:) one of the best closeup scenes i've seen lately in vue. the center character is a bit stiff. keep it up:)

I think sometimes when the landscape and vegitation are SO REAL that putting a poser human in might make it feel "wrong"...as when a real photo of land is used behind a poser figure....at least for me, it's like my brain can't get the two different things together... Your landscapes are SO REAL - a kind of "hyper-real" to me! :) This is beautiful, yes, but maybe that is what stalkeron was feeling?
