Description

Vue6I - No Postwork: Fun with layered materials. I'm really starting to better understand the power of Vue's new material layering system. Both the water and the shore were built with 4 layers of materials and adjusted using the cool new Environmental sliders. There is quite a lot happening at the intersection of the water and the shore here. You can now generate reasonably convincing shore foam without having to use the "Distance To Object Below" function node trick by simply adding a whitish material on top of the water and using the Environmental sliders to adjust the width (e.g. Altitude) and feathering of the foam. The same is true for the wet sand. When I get this fully dialed in, I'll post a quick tutorial on how to do this. Linda's Lush veg used for this. Here a link to the tutorial on this: http://www.skinvue.net/Tutorials/BeachShore.htm
