Description

I think this is probably the classic form people tend to think of when they think of an iris. Florists use these extensively, so it's what we see most often. It's certainly one of my favorites! This one was growing in a neighbor's yard a couple of months ago.

Delicate "classical" iris. Nice touch a green long leaf and a light so prefect on a flover.

This is the one I would call an old fashioned iris. I think this is called a Dutch Iris. I have yet to successfully grow these. I can get all the hybrid, frilly things to grow but this simple and proud iris has had a hard life at my hands... beautiful shot!
