Modeled and rendered in 3D Studio MAX 7 with no plugins. Using shadow-mapped lighting to save rendering time...
I used this scene in a short movie I made, which can be downloaded for free at www.alliedfleets.com - although it comes with a warming that it's not appropriate for younger audiences (some profanity and animated violence).

Great work, I purchased some of your models and I think the visual appearance is superb. A tiny issue however and a bit late considering the other comments, but appropriate none the less, I think: the indicated website is not available (has not been for quite some time). Just for your info. Is there a current website?

no longer available. Search for "The Allied Fleets: Part IV" on Google video. I haven't done any animation since, as I'm slowly building up a bunch of models for another one.
