Description

"Art is not a handicraft, It is the transmission of feeling The artist has experienced" ~ Leo Tolstoy

Taken in a public park near a local post office. Sculptor unknown. Infrared photography, again with red and blue channels swapped. But this time I could not decided with I like better. So I decided to have a little fun and present both in an animated GIF. You can decide for yourself which you like better. The alien feel of this scene is what grabbed me. The stance of the sculptures makes me think they could creak into motion at any given moment. Sorry for the long load time...I wanted to retain as much quality in the GIF file as possible. ------

Thank you for your Valuable comments on my last upload, thumb_1483248.jpg Beside the V That was actually a leafy twig on the tree, not a flower. ----- Sony DSC-P200 (IR Converted) & PhotoshopCS. (963) Boca Raton, Florida, USA 2007 Sponsored by: ott_bot1.gifKramer Kreations ohm.gif

What amazing sculptures! Your capture here is spot on. But I gotta tell ya -- I viewed it full-size before reading your text, and I seriously thought I had been out in the sun too long today. ;o) Those changing colors are seriously trippin'. Excellent creation!

Geez! I got hung up on looking at this incredible shot and didn't get to your comment until after I thought I was losing my mind! I could have sworn this was the coolest shot with brown tones - only to blink and find out I was seeing things...it was the coolest shot with blue tones! Slap me silly but I laughed when I finally read your explanation. :-) Both are great...I ,for one, feel the brown is more interesting.

Hey, I'm disappointed! When I read the title I thought it would be photo of a buxom blond tied to a chair! Interesting interplay between the blue and red channels, my friend. Fine contrast between the shadowed mummies and the bright IR foliage in the background.

I prefer the earthy tones as the sculptures look more organic that way, but both have their merits. Great eye once more Kort, you really have a knack for finding and composing these arty captures ! ~Cheers~ :o)

That is very cool! Love the color change. I'm partial to the blue. It is a beautiful scene...reminds me of Buddhas. The trees are so magical using IR. Hugs, Suzanne

So while I'm sitting here wondering what the heck animated GIF is they start changing colour! Well I guess you knew that. Any way the place where they turn blue is eerie, because I can almost hear the creak and slide of their various parts as they lurch into motion! BJ
