"Woodman, spare that tree! Touch not a single bough! In youth it sheltered me, And I'll protect it now." ~ George Pope Morris
Many trees in Boca Raton have scarred limbs such as this due meticulous pruning to keep our city neat and attractive. But even more scars result from felled limbs caused by the hurricanes that blew through in 2005. Boca is only now starting to look like it did before that busy year. We were lucky in 2006 and are doing good so far this season. Knock on wood. ((underlined words are links)) ------

Natural and unnatural pruning...mmm, well it's good to hear the tree are growing again ! Looking at this trunk, it seems very similar to the Strangler Fig tree we have in OZ, that grow in the sub-tropics and tropics, again a great compositional IR Kort ! ~Cheers~ :o)
