"Heaven be praised for solitude. Let me be alone.
Let me cast and throw away this veil of being, this cloud that changes with the least breath night and day, and all night and all day."
Woolf, Virginia 'The Waves'
Actually, this was just the original idea... but I am struggling to break free!

I've looked at this a few times now and wondered what I'd write about it each time. I think it's wonderful. I think you had fun and traveled to amazing places while painting it. Of coarse there are dramatic implications here, even frightening ones, but it's still wonderful. The truly Rodica. Surreal and mysterious, arousing the curiosity and interest of the unusual, new, fascinating and compelling. Did I mention, I like it.

Dear faithful friends, thank you so much for your comments. Thanks a lot...:) This painting here is part of a small group of works I've done for DIVINE COMEDY by DANTE...In this particular piece, I've got inspired by the dramatic description of the Gate of Hell and motto "Abandon all hope, you who enter here". I am not that much into illustration, but DANTE is very inspiring even for surrealist artists like myself...I'm glad you liked it.
