Description
IDK... the title just seemed right at the time. Speaking of IDK ... have any of you seen the commercial for one of the major wireless networks wherein the mom is reading her wireless bill and asks her daughter (who is all of 10 years old... jeepers... I don't think I was even allowed to use the old, black, dial phone when I was 10) who she's text-messaging so much. The daughter replies, "IDK... my BF Jill?" ("I don't know... my best friend, Jill?") So her mother says, "Well, you can tell your BF Jill that I'm taking away your phone!" Her daughter slaps the cell phone into her mother's hand and wails, "TISNF!" ("That is so not fair!") while stomping away (very likely up to her room wherein a 88 inch plasma TV, an X Box... a Wii... and several laptops [including an Apple Powerbook] await her) as punishment for overspending a few dollars on non-rollover, non-family-and-friends, non favorite-five, non after-seven o'clock cell phone usage.
IDK, my friends... when I was 10 and stormed off to my room in a huff over some much-deserved punishment from my mom... I was lucky to find a Betty and Veronica comic book to read as I sulked my way through 15 minutes of the "woe is me... life is so hard" snit...
TISNF!! lol!
Hey... thanks so much for taking the time to have a look at this... and for all the feedback you've all been so kind to leave in the past.
Hugs!
Helen :)

This is quite lovely! A beautifully created artwork :) 5+

I like that commercial a lot! Another of my favorites is the "Dad is not a horse's behind" one that's for some brand of camera; somehow I can really relate to that one. They seem tied together in todays world; or maybe I'm just really a grouchy old man now (everything seems to get on my nerves). Nice fractal, a very unique spiral design with the perfect surfaces that are one of the hallmarks of your work. Great job with the framing as well, very interesting and unique looking work.

Love your Dolphin kisses they are so elegant and beautifully presented. We don't have that add but I can relate to it. The youngsters are certainly wired up these days. I like that saying 'TISNF'.

OMG! IMHO this is soooo fantasticly beautiful!!! Redbeard is quite right about your perfect surfaces. Beautiful coloring and a sweet theme...love the little pink hearts! In light of such commercials, why do we wonder why young people (geeze, I hate when I use that term, "young people"! LOL!) have no respect for adults? It's what they see and we seem amused by it. That would be the collective "we", not speaking for myself. I'd have been grounded for the insolence AND the overages. Of course, like you I didn't have a phone of my own. Had to wait until I started working and could pay to have one installed in my room and could pay the bills myself. And that was as it should have been! Like redbeard, lots of things seem to get on my nerves now. I like the commercial where the Mom finds the extra minutes in the trash and she tells the kid that there are some people who don't have that luxury. Remember the starving children in China!

Beautiful and elegant, Helen! I love the sweeping shapes, and the way you have let the elements "breathe" - room to admire each petal!

Heya, hon! Long time no talk to! This is beautiful, and the title is sweet, even if you have no idea why you named it so. Nice work!

I'm feeling my age tonight. I had to ask my 18 year old grandson, who is sitting beside me, what IDK and TISNF mean. You made me laugh to realize that I'm so out of touch with the text messaging world. But your fractal is great and I'm not to old to appreciate fine art when I see it.

Speechless, LM. The bleeds over the top of the frame work perfectly, and as for the rest of this beauty...speechless...again ;-)As far as all the declining communication skills, I am predicting that one day soon we will all be using sign language ;-)) Great to see you in here again, as always.

TIJTM (this is just too much). I made my kids sit in chairs where they couldn't see the TV, but they could hear it and they couldn't talk to anyone for their time out time. Never to their rooms where all the toys and books were. GLI (gotta love it). Excellent work and thank your for the laugh. ;o) Bunny

A very beautiful fractal. The ad you mentioned really rankles me too. I'm sure I'm older than you, but we didn't even have a telephone in all my 18 years at home. Kids are spoiled beyond belief these days and I fear for the next few generations.

Wonderful...really wonderful..
