Well it took me quite some time... (don't worry, I just love to try such identification !) I think it is a Crucifer Shieldbug - Eurydema oleracea (also known as Cabbage or Brassica Bug) see : http://www.koleopterologie.de/heteroptera/index.html or : http://www.insecte.org/forum/image-vp160186.html?sid=5b644652ac87242ecc2416f187cfbb75 Now I hope that Danny (danob) is not going to challenge me... LOL Don't stamp on it (please let's protect biodiversity !) but move it away from your plant to the wild... Enjoy the rest of the week-end, Rozanne !

I plead the 5th ammendment. Seems like they are munching and having a party in your garden? Interesting capture and hope it doesn't ruin your garden. Aloha

I'm not really going to stamp on it!

That looks like a man with a mustache painted on the bugs back. Isn't nature wonderful. Great photograph of the cute bug and a beautiful green plant. Hugs, Suzanne

Nae idea abot ra wee bug, Rozanne, but din't it look nice? Over thirty years ago I came across a wee bug, something like a ladybird, but with an metallic aquamarine carapace. The bug specialist, in the school in which I taught at the time, did not have a scoobie. Later, as a country policeman, and designated 'animal diseases inspector', I was called out many a time by farmers, who had wrongly identified other bugs as the dreaded 'Colorado Beetle'. I never came across my little aquamarine beauty again, though. If this one does not eat your plants, move it to a piece of waste land ( assuming, being Espana, that they have not built on it yet.. ;o) ) I hope that you are not suffering a drought over there. regards. John.
