Description

Went out early this morning with my wide angle lens to shoot the sunrise. On my way, I got flagged down from a lady in need wanting a ride to the bus terminal. She said church people would meet down there and provided free food for the homeless and the needy. She was epileptic and under state care. I dropped her off at the terminal, wished her luck and went on my way. As for the sunrise, it did not materialize as a mass of dark clouds left from tropical depression "Cosme" covered the horizon. Well like everyone else shooting pictures, you just cant come home empty handed. My catch of the day and thank you "Cosme" for this river would not have appeared with out your added spirit. I've been to this spot, and it would take some heavy rain like we experienced to get this falls to pour. Nice catch here!! Stay dry~ Aloha~

I like the soft flow of water. Nicely captured~ On the lady you helped, there is a thread on the Hawaii Thread page that talks about a group who make sandwiches and give them and other food items out to the needy and homeless. Everything is donated, and the workers donate their time. A good direct-charity and from what I've heard, well run. Sounds like she is a part of something similar, your narrative speaks well of people helping people in your area. benedicite~

Good impressions of action and movement in the water but still conveying a scene of peace and harmony. Sometimes I wish I could live in a remote cabin in the woods near a river or stream like this.

I've never lived in Hawaii, though I have visited Oahu and my children have visited Maui. Believe it or not I'm homesick and it has been 17 yrs since I've been there myself. Keep up the good work! Hopefully I will return soon to visit what can only be described as Beautiful!!
