Description

Just got some new toys that only work in DAZ Studio, so I thought I'd try it out. Studio Lighting Pro and Mood Master are both for DS, and BOY, do they make lighting and atmospheric effects easy. :) After all that, TOONed in PSP. Greywolf

Fairly good overall, but needs some work. It's suspiciously clear around her feet with all the fog in the room. Also...where is the light coming from and why doesn't it leave light cones or such with such a thick atmosphere? The place looks like a stereotypical haunted house basement, which isn't a bad thing if you're going for the eerie horror kitsch thing. Where's the suspense? Where the emotion? She looks drugged out of her mind or in shock. If I were her going from the previous postings--My eyes would be sticking out wide-eyed with terror, I'd be looking around wildly and trying to feel my way out, IF I couldn't make out the surroundings, or picking up one of those leg-bones to use as a club on whatever came to snack on me!!! Posture, pose, even just a turn of the hear and a look in the eye can tell VOLUMES about what you want to convey. Sometimes just parm dial playing with the emotion and expression morphs can give you a novella of tales! The execution of it is excellent, and very moody. If you charged it with some raw ,bleeding emotion you'll knock ALL of our socks off!

I am not sure if it wouldn't be better if it wasn't tooned with the amount of atmospherics. But a great pose and you certainly are getting a good lighting and atmospherics in this

Love the atmosphere! I'm really looking forward to working with those tools! One thing I do see though is as others have mentioned - some lighting problems. For such a gloomy atmosphere, the lighting on the side of her skirt and especially on the (coffin?) she's sitting on is too stark. It should be darker, and less contrast, more diffuse shadows, as there is no bright light source visible. Her face is of course important to be able to see her emotions, but again, too bright - where's the light? I do think some degree of "impossible" lighting is allowed here - to bring focus to her face perhaps, but it should be subtle, and the focus should not be in competition with the brightness of the stone. I think her emotion is well conveyed - she looks like she is in shock, cannot believe what is happening, wants to make it all go away. Well done overall - just needs work on the lighting. Hope this has been helpful! :)

Heh, still looking for a way for her tears to show up in DAZ Studio. I also need the image to be dimmer. It IS a dungeon cell after all. Hmmm. Maybe a claw reaching out of the sewer grill by her feet. :)

I think most of the critique points have been addressed on this one. Personally, I think the facial expression works fine here. I get the "in shock" or disbelief coming across rather effectively. The lighting does tend to give the impression more of a room with a window of some kind, as in a castle tower, for example rather than an underground cell. Though it indeed may be a bit out of context, still does work nicely as far as a 'toon-like' visual composition goes.
