I was born in Zimbabwe on 03/06/88. My family, consisting of parents, older brother and sister, migrated to South Africa when I was six months old. We moved back to Zimbabwe six years later, to help my grandparents on their farm - a career change for my father.
After a measly eighteen months we upped sticks and went farming on our own. This led us to Kwekwe, in the heart of Zimbabwe, to farm tobacco! Borrowdale farm which is part of the "Midlands Black Rhino Conservancy" is where we settled . This was the most incredible experience, living with such an abundance of wild life ........... of which we became a part of during the school holidays! Due to the "land redistribution policy" we had no option but to move on.
10th November, 2001 saw us arrive in New Zealand with our former lives packed into a suitcase each, ready to start our new lives. Our first three years were spent on the South Island and I nearly froze!!!!!!! A great employment opportunity for my father had us move up to the North Island. I now live on a farm just outside Matamata aka "Hobbiton" (defrosting).
Yep that should sum it up ha!

Wooooow - love the textures in this photo - the smooth sky really helps to balance them out too. Great composition! I never would have thought a wild sheep would make such a beautiful photo. Way to work with what you've got.

The ethereal quality and subject of this shot makes it look like an old time pastoral print. (Wonderful POV too!) Don't know if that's what you were going for, but it is very nice. Hang in there on your studies, sometimes the lessons are in jumping through hoops with grace rather than what the lessons contain. =)

OK, when I saw the title I was thinking of the place where men are men and the sheep... Well, you get the picture. Glad you found a constructive way to get your mind off the studies for a bit. Now get back to work. ;)

LOL Your notes sooooo remind me of someone, another highly 'stressed' individual....I wonder who, lol....Anyway, awww. Sorry you're so stressed out. But this is lovely, Kai. Your 'hand' in quite evident here and I always love your way with colors. It's wonderful and very artistic....Hugs - sleepy M :^)

Hey, try to be positive about the pinhole. You could take some really artistic shots with it. I hope to see what you do. Super sheep shot shown -- so soft! ;']
