Description

I decided to look at the terrain I used in, "Dunes," and, "Fierce Seas," in Terragen. At least with the default surface, it's a lot easier to, "see," the terrain in TG. It also looks a whole lot harder-edged in TG. Much rockier. It seems like Bryce wants to smooth out the more extreme high frequency features. As soon as my daughter wakes up I'm going to go to my place of work and use one of their PCs. I've been playing around with Wilbur in my off time, and I want to see what I can do with a map of Tavonni from COTI. This is turning into my little ME-DEM. Later, mates...

try 3-dem... It's great for working with DEMS and will export at high resolution. In regards to the render, try increasing the contrast a bit. As it stands right now it looks washed out. Good luck!

Fascinating flow of the surface. I can see what you mean about it looking harder-edged. It'd be cool to see what lots of different programs would do with the same terrain. Fun project as it progresses!

Those are some interesting ridge lines, there. Very realistic terrain! What is the camera altitude, about 2000 meters? NICE!
