Description

Another shot of that group of rocks I'd stacked yesterday. I kept running out and shooting more as the sun slowly dropped. I am quite pleased with several of the more unique angles I tried. These rocks aren't very big at all, and are simply balanced atop eachother without the help of anything besides gravity. They usually only stay standing for a few hours or perhaps a day or two at most. The most fun is when a bird attempts to land on one of these stacks... Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments on these pictures, I never know when I've done too many of these so let me know when it's time to move on! Enjoy the view, Dr O.

What an image, it's quite moody actually, it evokes all sorts of stories but then a good picture is definitely worth MORE than 1000 words and well...this is a fantastic picture. The contrast between light and shadow is great and the muted color works equally well.
