Description

Ever have something that's supposed to start small and ends up more than you planned? This was supposed to be a simple shot of a very precarious rock-balancing act that has stood an amazingly long time (The big one that's kind of "conical" and perched on a tiny rock on the left side of the circle) but once I started taking pictures I started thinking "wouldn't it be cool if..." and next thing you know I've been out in the blazing sun for over 30 minutes moving and balancing rocks! I know I've been really bad about posting, and commenting lately. I've been both really busy and then I got sick. But I'm (mostly) better now, so I promise all you guys I've been neglecting I'll try to catch up this weekend. Thanks for taking a look and have a great weekend.

I like the intercepting lines of shadows in this~ Like the rocks are set to a certain time... maybe when the fairies appear... Feel better soon~ Hugs and well wishes to you! =)

This picture is well and truly worth the time it took to set it up. It embodies what I believe art should be; a collabrative effort between the creator and his or her creation. I am sure the setting of these stones defied your patience for a few moments! My wife and I lived in Britain for three years and couldn't get enough of stone circles (in fact, you've inspired me to do my next piece on that subject matter)and your picture here brought back my rembrances with a smile. Some of the stones (though it hardly seems an appropriate word considering their size!) at Avebury, whilst not as precariously balanced as yours, have a similar shape to the ones you have chosen. What a magnificient spectacle all in all! My score is 5 for the effort involved. P.S. Castle Rigg near Keswick in Cumbria is perhaps my favourite stone circle, mostly due to the vista you obtain when you stand within it.

Reminds me of the time my best friend and I went camping with her family (waaaaay back in high school) in midwestern Oregon, and we made crop circles for fun. Except this is much more artistic and beautiful, and obviously takes a great amount of skill. You get high marks from me for the result AND the effort, and to give the rest of us something wonderful to look at. Thank you!!!

Fantastic!!! Another brilliant sculpture very artistic!! The time and effort must have been worth it, I keep going back to have another look, I have enlarged the image five times whilst typing this. You should get some prints framed and approach a local gallery. Near to where I live a local artist shows hers in the doctors surgery and gives 10% to the surgery's charity.
