Description

Yesterday above Arrochar was a very uninspiring day out. The usual summers' rotten, minging, filthy, dirty weather has been a real pain. This was one of the few breaks in the cloud, looking toward Ben Ime, and further north to Ben Vane. Hmpht! I think I'll take up Meccano instead. Thanks for viewing

Great landscape. I really like the view on the mountains which disappear in the clouds.

As I understand it, you've had more than your fair share of foul weather this summer down there - unfortunately there's not much you can do about it (other than take up Meccano, as you're suggesting :) Love the contrast between the bright sunny spot and the black mountains dissappearing in the clouds behind it. Beautiful landscape!

We used to have to play hockey in that! Surely the worst memories of purple knees, freezing cold and your hands exploding with pain when the ball hit the stick. However, I cottoned on that if I "forgot" my hockey kit I was sent up Dollar Hill as punishment. Ha, ha. Wonderful.

What's Meccano? Anyway, this is lovely. Love that wee bit of light there and the heavy cloud cover. To me that's exactly what Scotland's supposed to look like. I'll gladly trade with you... Once again, beautiful photo, Anthony. Always a pleasure for this Scotophile.... -M :^)

No meccano - carry on with this fantastic photography instead!! Beautiful scenery here and excellent lighting despite the low lying clouds, which really help to make this an incredible shot!

lol I think all the meccano sets have been sold to people waiting in the hotel for the clouds to clear :P - Impressive capture with a patch of light on the ridge :)

Dinna get the McCanno, mon! Yi'll ne'er get it awa frae wee Sian! .. ;o) Nice shot, Anthony, one of your better TERRAGEN ones.. Maybe we'll have a better summer -- tomorrow. P.S. At Christmas my son bought a new generation Mecanno kit for my four year old grandson. It was a remote control vehicle with built in radio! It survived several crashes, since it could always be rebuilt. Regards, John.
