Being busy at work sometimes can lead to interesting things... I've been spending my lunch breaks with a sketchpad in hand lately as a way of unwinding a bit (ah the joys of art therapy....), and this is one of the results. Our large red friend here started off as a doodle and just sort of took on a life of his own (as is the case with the next couple of drawings that I'll be posting). The coloring on him was at the urging of one of my co-workers who is quite a good cartoonist. Drawn on Beinfang 90lb acid free paper, rendered with Prismacolor Design Markers (rather interesting to work with these... they blend well and can produce rather watercolor like effects).
