Description

Another of those "art therapy" drawing from my lunch breaks, Notra was the result of a challenge thrown out by the same co-worker who coerced me into working with Prismacolor Markers. The challenge was to do a drawing in a style that wasn't mine and to get as close as possible to the way the original artist's style. This is the result. Notra is a character out of the manga "PhD Phantasy Degree" by Son Hee-Joon (which I happened to be reading at the time. While not 100% (in my opinion), I liked the way it turned out all the same. Drawn on Bienfang 90lb acid free paper and rendered with Prismacolor Design Markers (I find working with them really addictive... now to experiment with different paper types). I like the use of the medium here the texture really adds to the feel of the piece. Not too sure about the level of shine on her shoulders but hey, thats a personal thingy...
