Description

Ok...so I'm really not at all sure what kind of lizard this is, but he lives at the San Diego Zoo and he was kind enough to pose for this shot. Alright, so it wasn't hard since he wasn't moving at all given he had his nice spot to soak up the sun here. LOL Hope everybody had a great weekend and a successful Monday. John

Very unusual colors!!! I thought lizards usually have colors to camouflage themselves???

I have never seen one of these guys before! I think you have a great gift of finding the unusual elements rarely seen to photograph, starting with your Hawaiian journeys to the Legoland trip and now this- Perhaps you are finding your second calling?? Seriously, you have an eye for capturing and sharing these moments, and I hope you continue to enjoy capturing them as much as we enjoy viewing them!

It's a baby dragon! Those colors are spectacular! And I am thinking if that is natural camouflage, I'd love to see its native habitat!

That's a male African Red-Headed Rock Agama! He certainly looks happy basking in the warm San Diego sun! I think he's got the right idea for sure! Excellent shot of this guy and hope you had fun at the best Zoo in the world! =)
