Description

[best viewed full sized] *for easier viewing press F11 Key* A dedication to all my fellow R'osity Brits who have had to put up with the last two months of our terrible British weather. Especially for Chrissy, Diane, Tracey, Eileen, Anthony and Chris.(BibbyBear, rainbows, tr4cey, elmurray, aangus, and cmolsen2002). A belated summer IS on the way! Sunshine and blue skies after the rain. Also for anybody else who needs some sunshine in their lives. Hosta elata (aka Funkia) [of the Liliaceae family] Gardening books and garden centres recommend that this plant is grown for its foliage only and advise cutting off the flower stems as soon as they appear, describing the flowers as "insignificant". I hope this picture proves them wrong! Originally there was a tall pine tree in the background, but because of the camera angle it appeared to be growing horizontally, so I took it out and then repaired the sky as if it had never been there in the first place. Can you tell?? Cheer up all! - and thanks for looking!

This is beautiful Carl - the sun certainly appears to be staying at the moment, so hopefully, those rainy day blues will be a thing of the past soon. A lovely dedication, for which I sincerely thank you (it's well needed today!) and a fabulous capture of these not so insignificent flowers - the way the light has been captured shining through the delicate petals and the lovely water drops, so beautiful! You have also done an amazing job of removing the pine tree - I would never have been able to detect had you not told us. Thank you so much for, as you usually do, brightening my day. Huge hugs my dear friend. Chrissy xxooxx

This is a glorious capture Carl!! I love the camera angle of this shot. Nothing insignificent about these beautiful blooms is there... Love the water droplets too :-) Your postwork is seamless.. We had sunshine today too! A stange golden ball appeared in the sky!!! How I hope we get a Summer before it is over ;-) Just been out in my garden watching my swifts and swallows, they will only be here another 4 weeks. I savor every second.. Thank you Carl for this beautiful dedication, we are blessed to know YOU.. dear friend. Big Hugs, Di. xx

There is nothing insignificant about this...........or the way the sun caught the uppermost water droplet and turned it into a diamond! Wonderful staging! Absolutely gorgeous! Breathtaking.
