A pic of my little cat - Tigger, sleeping in her favourite chair. She was born at home with her four sisters nearly five years ago (15th August). She is called Tigger because when she was born she was very stripey looking, and Zebra didn't seem like a good name for her!
Tigger has just about got over a massive operation that she had to have last March. She had Vaccine Lymphoma - cancer caused by the injections that were supposed to protect her from diseases. Apparently this affects one in every thousand cats, although I had never heard of it before. A specialist surgeon travelled to do the opperation, and after removing the cancer he had to then take away three centimetres (just over an inch) of surrounding tissue, which is a huge amount for a little cat. He also had to remove part of her shoulder blade. Five months on, her fur has grown back and there is no trace that she has had any surgery at all. She is also back to terrorizing the local wildlife!
I shot this in black and white because she clashes with the colour of the furniture!
Thanks for looking!

Very sweet pose. A sad but encouraging story, too... I love cats! The black and white is an excellent choice, too. Great work!

Awww!! Now this is just so cute and I've learnt something new about you today Carl - I never knew you had a cat and certainly not one so gorgeous as Tigger!! This is an adorable capture, she looks so chilled out in what is obviously "HER" seat - the best in the house no doubt, and the photo most definitely suits B&W. Excellent capture (now you have to promise me that I will get a chance to meet Tigger soon??) Hugs. xxoxx

A wonderful capture of tigger, Carl. So happy she is doing okay. I know all about the stresses and strain's of nursing a beloved cat back to health. Norman, my little tabby was a three legged cat. He had a beautiful life.... Hugs to you both dear Carl. Diane.
