Description
I always felt that Aquarius got the short end of the stick on the Apollo 13 mission. Even as Columbia was falling apart around the Astronauts' ears, Aquarius performed above and beyond anyone's expectations- without her, the crew would never have gotten home alive. Yet,Does she reside in any museum? No. All the tribute or honors she ever got, was a scortching death in re-entry because there was no way to bring her home. In the entire history of our planet's space program, if any ship ever earned the right to be brought home, it was Aquarius.
This picture was done using the Lunar lander from Content Paradise's Space exploration pack and a background created using the program Celestia.
I'll get off my soapbox now...

An excellent tribute. And you're absolutely right. She didn't deserve to be forgotten like that.

Excellent tribute. Aquarius is also the only lunar lander that came back to Earth. Though she lived only briefly.

Awesome. A hero to the end, and like so many of our heros, Forgotten. So long as one remembers though, and you immortalized her here. Good job.
