I'm a software engineer by day. I spend my time pushing ones and zeros around, which is not as easy as it sounds. They're slippery little devils.BIOI discovered fractals in the mid 80's with Fractint on what must have been a 25 MHz processor. Around 2001 I upgraded all the way from 400 MHz to 1.8 GHz, and thought about making fractals again. I discovered Fractal Explorer, and later XenoDream. These days I use mostly XD and MBF, with an occasional image from ChaosPro and Quasz, since I've always loved quaternions.
For my photography I use a Canon 30D. My primary lenses are a Canon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 EF DO IS USM and a Canon 24-105 f/4 L IS USM.

Not gonna cross here, huh? Aw c'mon ... where's your sense of adventure? ;o) Great capture here. I'm envious of your exploits. Can't wait to see more.

tremendous shot. I can see the steep grade and the fact its snow makes it very tenuous. Excellent job.

No, I'm with you on this one Dennis.... absolutely no way I would cross that!! Amazing capture you have here depicting the severity of this climb. I love the way the sunlight is glistening on the melted snow / water in the foreground and the blue sky is gorgeous. Great shot my friend. xx

Beautiful shot....

You would need some mountain climbing gear to do this one or its a free trip down fast. Glad you did not leave your foot prints across this steep path. Excellent shot. Aloha

Crampons? ;) Oh well, I can see why you would rather avoid crossing this snowfield - if you fall on steep summer snow it's amazing how fast you pick up speed, whith a nasty accident as the most likely outcome... Eagerly awaiting your continued journey:)

WOW! Looks like a rather dangerous climb. Do be careful. Excellent shot.

Good choice. There's a big difference between hiking and crossing a snow field! Excellent shot of this really steep slope. That must be about 25 or 30 degrees! Yikes!

Fantastic POV. Excellent and very interesting shot!

Incredible series of Cooper Spur. Thanx for the share of the high country. ;-)

I agree with you - I wouldn't climb that either! A great shot and love the POV!

Yiiiiiiikes! I've lived in places that get snow, but I've never had the pleasure (?) of dealing with snow in the summertime. I've also never tried to hike a trail this steep or rugged. Both at the same time are altogether intimidating. I'm glad you sensibly went another way.
