Description

Continuation of our hike. At first, my goal was just to reach the top of the donkey trail. To make sure that we were at the top, I told Terry to hike in a little more knowing that when we reach level ground, we are definitely at the top. But when we reached these huge trees, I was just taken in by this beautiful green forest. Curiosity made us go even deeper into the forest. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

When you compare the trunk of this tree with Terry (I suppose it's him that's visible in the background there:) you realize just how massive this tree must be! No puny norwegian birch this one!:) Very nice!

Reminds me of our "Century" oaks here. Having Terry in the shot adds depth and scale.

Love the atmosphere and scale. Poor Terry, he looks so puny. Colors are great. Glad you had such a good time on your hike. Aloha

It certainly is very impressive and had it been in Africa, it would have been chopped off for fire wood. I hope this one stays there for another couple of hundred years.
