Description

Ive started putting my shuttle stuff together, (MLP Tower, Shuttle, Crawler). Here is what ive got so far. Poly count is a little over 1 million. To me, this image gives the appearance of them looking like small toys.

unreal modeling! This looks just perfect to me. It does look a bit like a model or toy but I think that is just because of no real looking enviornment. Put it in Cape Canaveral or where ever they launch from, that should do it... Great work! -chachi

Very nice! Great detail on everything. But yeah, putting them in some context would make them look more real.

Put a group of people around the base of the launch pad about to get incinerated on liftoff and it will give you a whole new perspective. Excellent. DK

nice (especially the full-view), but a little "put-together". maybe a little unification would be nice

Very impressive work. Not only does the texturing look amazing, I am willing to bet this is either exactly to scale or very close. I don't think they look like toys, but I do see what you mean. I think once you get this on a background it will look real. ++++++

This is a highly detailed and very cool model! I think point of view and focal depth are two things that can make an image either look real or like a scale model. There are some really interesting photographs of real cities taken from high angles that have depth of field applied in postwork, and instantly the image looks like one of those little dioramas or scale models in a museum. There are a few examples in the Photography section here in fact. Again, this is a great model, it realy demonstrates a passionate attention to detail! Wish I could model 1/10th this good, I would be happy!

hey excellent modelling... I think the "toy" looking is due to the lack of an adecuate enviroment... put all that inside a well achieved 3d scenary, and I'm sure it will rock... 5++
