Description
We're still at the lake. On to the birds. These critters wouldn't hold still...lol. I'd get them where I wanted in the frame and they would keep on swimming. I took many, many photos!
I did a little research on these water birds. I have known them as Mudhens. If I identified them correctly they are, and are known by other names as well, one of them being the Coot. (I like that name). The little one finally came out of the reeds! It was fun watching them. Mama was diving, and grabbing stuff (looked like the algae, and maybe some fish) to feed the baby.

I always thought the Coot and the mudhen were different birds. I learn something every day... but our mudhens have a bit different color on the beak. Good shot.
