Description

Here is another shot for you guys. First time i have really tried my hand at people shots on the "street", where "street" means a dirt road through a town built from adobe. When i can i take my camera around with me on the little jobs we do around the town. In this case we had just finished harvesting some bamboo which we are going to use for roofing in one of the out buildings on the farm we live at. I was sat there taking photos of the volunteers and this little old lady ("abuelita") walked past so i snapped up the opportunity (hehe sorry for the pun!). It is a very typical scene over here, they all wear those hats and pretty much are alkways carrying something in a poncho even grandchildren! Thanks for the comments on my last upload of machu picchu, a taster of what to come although probably one of my favourite shots of the place i took, but by no means the only decent one ;). I´m in Cusco at the moment and about to head off to Lake Titicaca tomorrow morning, so another few hundred photos for me to take and sort through. I am going to be attached to my computer when i get back home for about 2 weeks sorting through all of this! Anyway, thanks for stopping by to have a look. Sorry but again i cant really browse around and comment, no time. Hope everyone is well wherever you are in the world. Greeting from peru! Rich

Well as per usual Rich, you tried your hand at something and succeeded brilliantly. You have captured the essence of another world here and the textures and colours are fantastic. Excellent composition, though I have come to expect nothing less from you, and an all round fantastic photo. Keep up the great work you are doing and keep safe and well. When do you return here to UK? It's quiet without you here LOL!!! Hugs. xx

Eh, I don't care if you don't comment -- it's not a big deal, I know you're busy, and your photos mean more to me than your words. This is a lovely shot, very well-composed (I like the contrast between the brightly-colored cloth and the relatively dull wood and brick) and you've hidden the copyright well. Always nice to see what you're up to.
