Description

I didn't take any pictures while climbing this steep donkey trail as my heart rate was in over drive going up. But I did take some pictures going down hill as you only need good brakes. Sometimes those brakes fail and mines did. I fell face first and landed on the trail (and not over the 1000 ft drop). A few scrapes and bruises but thats ok. "It happens." This was the only open area near the top to take pictures of the Valley (see the orange area near the top in a previous post, "Clic Here" . Trying to move those bushes in front of us to have a better view would be suicide. Aloha and thank you for viewing... ps. Going on vacation Tuesday. See ya all in 3 weeks.

This is such a lovely vista. I love the cure of the coastline and the way the sunlight is glistening off the ocean. What a marvellous capture and one I'm pleased to see you made it down safely (ish!) to share with us. Hugs. xx

What an excellent shot of this gorgeous view. I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself or your camera. Be careful out there, my friend. Seeing the road on the other side makes me remember how hard it was to walk down and back up. Whew!

spectacular scenery and capture.I would like to drive my FJ on the trail on the far side.it would be a thrill.not as much as taking a dive off to take a picture for Fred, but it would be a one way trip unfortunately-haha

Great shot of the shoreline, reminds me of the sort of place I'd like to retire to, aside from all the aforementioned climbing. Glad you took the short fall and not the long one!

Incredible view! You can really see the vastness in this shot. Is that the mouth of the river about mid-coastline? If Dave is on the shore taking a snooze ;) he is invisible at this distance. So glad you are safe! We have a similar bluff-hike here (somewhat lower and shorter, also with magnificent views of a river valley) that I feel the need for constant prayer as I walk. I think the smattering of bushes in the foreground give the view more scale and are not disturbing at all.

Beautiful image! Such a gorgeous view. I'm glad you didn't get hurt, or drop your camera over the edge when you fell! ;) Ummm . . . you already live in Hawaii. Where do you go on vacation???

The view is spectacular (but then you already knew that) and the way it opens up past the grasses is fantastic. So sorry to hear about the "Face Walk" (OK, not trying to make fun of an injury but I have so many accidents that I've learned to laugh at them unless they don't stop bleeding or something that belongs on the inside of me is hanging on the outside LOL), but overwhelmingly happy you didn't tumble off the trail.

Well, I see MrsLubner isn't the only one gets scrapes and bruises. Photography can be hazardous to your health! Nice panoramic land/seascape in this capture, with great lighting on the left part of the shot. Have a cool vacation!
