Description

** Best viewed full size ** Looking south from the top of the hiking trail we see Mt. Jefferson about 50 miles (80 km) to the south. To the left of Jefferson, two of the Three Sisters are barely visible at about 90 miles (150 km). What looks like smoke on the left horizon is smoke; the first forest fire I'd seen this year, but unfortunately not the last. I had to clone out about a zillion blurry butterflies from this one. They may be pretty, but what a pain. :-) Thanks for stopping by.

Such a wonderful view of the landscape. I'm assuming there are firebugs in your area too. We had more than our share of firebugs on the west side of the island. The other islands had some too. No one arrested so far. Aloha

  • sigh * Perfect. This is just gorgeous. I zoomed to 400% and it's just as clear and beautiful as can be! The Sisters show up really well when you zoom in. Amazing shot! (And your de-butterfly-ing postwork looks great! Even in full view there's no trace of it.)

Great vista and interesting to see the forest fire in the distance. As you probably know, we have a fair number of them here in Northern CA. It's sad to see the devastation they leave.
