I'm a software engineer by day. I spend my time pushing ones and zeros around, which is not as easy as it sounds. They're slippery little devils.BIOI discovered fractals in the mid 80's with Fractint on what must have been a 25 MHz processor. Around 2001 I upgraded all the way from 400 MHz to 1.8 GHz, and thought about making fractals again. I discovered Fractal Explorer, and later XenoDream. These days I use mostly XD and MBF, with an occasional image from ChaosPro and Quasz, since I've always loved quaternions.
For my photography I use a Canon 30D. My primary lenses are a Canon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 EF DO IS USM and a Canon 24-105 f/4 L IS USM.

Quite an accomplishment to get up this far ... we'll excuse you for not going farther. ;) I am really enjoying your hike -- albeit not as much as you are. Another great photo!

GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well worth your hiking right????? What a blue sky to accent that snow!!!

It looks like it isn't much farther to the top! Big difference, though, between hiking and climbing! Personally, I'm an armchair hiker - I'll live vicariously through you! :)

Fabulous view but I'm sure it was rough getting there! Thank you for sharing these photos with us more timid souls!

A stunning view of this snow capped peak Dennis and the added bonus of a gorgeous blue sky to showcase it too. A splendid series and I look forward to the rest soon. Hugs. xx

Great shot, nice contrast. How did you manage to hold the camera still enough after a hike like that? Thanks for sharing.

Great capture...

Wonder view! excellent shot ...dangerous hike! Kudos to you and am glad you are safe! That is awful about the two people who died in that area. sigh How scary the families have to wait so long before their bodies are found (if they ever do) ... TY so much for this series! I have enjoyed traveling with you!

Wonderful shot. Yes, quite a difference between hiking and climbing. Stick to the hiking which seems less dangerous. So sad two were lost.

What an adrenaline rush! I would be content with being below the peak as well. I have always had a great respect for weather conditions and mother natures power to change them on a whim without notice. The sky here is so vast and so blue it almost hurts the eyes. I can only imagine what it must be like. Awesome photo.

What a beautiful view, and what an outstanding series this has been.

WOW Magic view!

Stunning view. Excellent shot with fantastic clarity!

Incredible! It was very sensible of you to stop here, the rest of the climb looks very intimidating. All that snow must have been difficult to work with in taking this shot, I know how white can fool the eye as well as the sensors. I really like this shot.

Fine chronicle of your adventures you have going here. Thanx for the continued share ;-)

It all looks so innocent, doesn't it? It is beautiful but can be quite deadly, I dare say. Looks like someone has been there. Are those tracks?
