Oh man this looks really good! Only minor crit is the noise/grain, especially in the upper-left. What where the rendersettings and time? Nice dusty look! Surfacing and displacements are very well done. Guess this is your alternative way of getting cracks you mentioned at the forum? The lighting is very nice also, love those soft shadows! Martin

If is wasn't for TG2's render times and crashes I'd be all over it... Either way, these rock tests look fantastic!

I love these extreme close-ups of the great detail possible with TG2. This one is cool. More of these !!!

The round rock looks almost semitransparent, like quartz...! Amazing up-close detail - now for a wide-angle shot...?

Very nice work on the materials and shapes. Love the detailed look of this picture.

Very nice materials. Looks a little pixelated though on close inspection which I don't understand given the rendering settings. I've had a few problems myself with that. I now usually end up rendering big and downsizing because I can't get exactly the same smooth results by tweaking AA. What we need is a colour gradient so we can easily drive more than two colours with one fractal to get really interesting mats. There are ways at present but it's tricky and complex to set up.
