Description
Pink dogwood from my neighbor's yard. Fortunately, he doesn't mind if I take pictures of his plants!
Dogwood is one of my favorite trees. We have a native variety here that has large, creamy white blooms. These pink ones are native only to the nursery, as far as I know!
This really is their true color, though. No postwork!

As a child growing up in Ohio, my mother had 2 dogwoods planted in our yard. Every year she inspected it daily in the spring, waiting for the flowers to appear. Now I find myself watching for the flowers to pop open in the spring. I love this pink. I have seen pink before but not this deep and vibrant. Excellent pov. Fabulous photo. And love the avatar!

From the title, I initially thought you had taken a picture of four boxes of aluminum foil. I used to grow Dogwood years ago, but quit because each time a flower blossomed, it started barking...woof, woof. Okay, enough of that...great macro of the lovely flower, especially the pink magenta color, the petal veins, and the lighting effects.
