Description

In 1976, a forward-thinking production company taped a TV pilot called "Three's a Bunch." The story revolved around three roommates living in the Los Angeles area. The show's humor was mainly innuendo, double entendre, slapstick, and puerile references to one of the stars' bustline. The show had a more serious message, however: it promoted tolerance and understanding of dark elves and Magical Girls in general. In a time when most dark elves only got bit parts (typically depicted as working in laundromats and restaurants), it was revolutionary to have one in a leading role. Unfortunately, Three's a Bunch didn't get picked up by the networks. Network execs said they liked the basic format but found the humor too stale and wanted a cast that was all human. Until now, footage of the original pilot had been thought lost. The original tape was discovered in the producer's home, being used as a shim to keep his dining room table from wobbling. So now, for your viewing enjoyment, we present... THREE'S A BUNCH! ---- This is my first attempt at making a "real" multi-page story. I'm still learning the ropes of how to draw comics, and I'll admit it's pretty primitive. I just wanted to get some practice and perhaps cause a few groans (and maybe a slight chuckle) in the process. Enjoy!
